Type Locality and Naming
Along the village of Shodymir, Turkestan ridge. A.K. Bukharin et al. in 1986 (1990). Stratotype in the village of Shodymir.
Synonym: Shodymir Topitsa, Шодимирская т., Shodimir Thickness
Lithology and Thickness
Bouldery conglomerates, carbonaceous-argillaceous slates, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones, limestones with chaotically located boulders of terrigenous, volcanogenic, siliceous, and carbonate rocks and large (more than 1 km in extent) olistoliths mainly from carbonate rocks. Thickness up to 500 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Often tectonically overlies various Paleozoic
Upper contact
It is overlain with erosion by the volcanites of the Dargun Fm
Regional extent
Southern Fergana, northern slope of the Turkestan ridge, on the western side between Zaaminsay and Turkmen say.

Fossils
In boulders, olistoliths of limestones, numerous organic remains of the Silurian, Devonian, and Lower Carboniferous have been found, which allows us to consider the age of the lower boundary of the suite not lower than the Lower Carboniferous.
